For hundreds of years, massage has been used to promote relaxation and facilitate the healing process. HydroMassage is an alternative type of massage therapy that provides numerous benefits. Commonly used in chiropractic offices roughly 15 minutes prior to spinal adjustment or decompression, HydroMassage has been trusted by doctors for more than 25 years, and at Natural Way Chiropractic in Overland Park, we are proud to offer this service to our clients
What is Hydro Massage?
HydroMassage is essentially massage therapy, without the therapist. Our HydroMassage bed provides a relaxing massage using focused water pressure. During the massage, the patient remains clothed and dry. Because it relaxes the muscles and eases tension, we commonly offer HydroMassage prior to spinal adjustment and spinal decompression to ensure that the adjustment works. The water in the bed is comfortably warmed, and powerful waves are directed at specific parts of the body. The typical massage lasts 10 to 15 minutes and provides many of the same benefits as traditional massage.
