What is Decompression?
DTS spinal decompression is a therapeutic treatment designed with your comfort and clinical considerations in mind. During treatment, the DTS computer-controlled traction device is programmed to gently stretch the spinal vertebra. The gentle force is delivered through a harness system, and it releases approximately every minute throughout the session.
How Does It Work?
The gentle stretching and relaxing of the spine fosters a phenomenon known as “imbition.” To put it simply, this is the way that a normal disc gets nutrition. The action promotes the disc to take in nutrition, which often doesn’t happen in damaged and degenerative discs. In healthy discs, this occurs naturally with normal daily motions. Discs with more imbition do not receive the proper nutrition and hydration, and they are more likely to susceptible to injury and pain. DTS spinal decompression restores imbition in a controlled, comfortable manner and can help the disc begin to heal itself from the inside out.

Spinal decompression therapy is safe and well-tolerated by most patients. Possible candidates include those suffering from a number of illnesses and disorders, including: •Ruptured discs •Sciatica •Spinal stenosis •Facet syndrome •Arthritis •Failed surgery Most patients experience significant pain relief in a few as five spinal decompression treatments.
Is Decompression Painful?
